RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT
For some young people, what they need most isn't a programme. It's a place.
The Carterton Youth Village residential programme offers supported accommodation for rangatahi who need a stable, safe environment to grow from. Each young person arrives with their own story, their own challenges, and their own potential. And they leave with a plan.
From the moment they move in, residents work alongside Village staff to build a life that's theirs. That means setting goals, developing budgeting skills, exploring education and employment pathways, and building the everyday habits that make independence possible. Stays range from two months to two years, shaped around what each young person actually needs rather than a fixed timeline.
The Village doesn't just open its doors and then close them again. Former residents are welcome to return, for support, for connection, or simply because this place still feels like home. Advocacy and access to resources don't stop when someone moves on.
Because the goal was never just to house a young person. It was to help them build a life they're proud of.
